Approved in 2018, Law No. 13,709 – the General Data Protection Law (LGPD) – came into effect in August 2020.

The LGPD aims to ensure the protection of fundamental rights of freedom and privacy for all individuals.

To achieve this, companies and professionals must implement both administrative and technical measures to safeguard the personal data they handle in their operations and business activities.
