Founded on October 5, 1972, the company began its activities in the city of Foz do Iguaçu, managed by a group of entrepreneurs from Companhia Tropical de Hotéis. The group decided to invest in the services offered to tourists in the city of the falls by founding Tropical Táxi Aéreo (Helisul’s first name).
In the 70s, the only service offered were the panoramic flights that departed in front of the Cataratas hotel. Later the company was sold to a businessman, who renamed the company to Helisul
Táxi Aéreo Ltda. Shortly afterwards, the company was acquired by the Biesuz Family, currently managed by the Commanders. Eloy and Celso Biesuz.
As of the 1990s, it has launched new flights and expanded its services and bases throughout the national territory, with emphasis on the cities of Curitiba, Foz do Iguaçu, São José dos Pinhais, Brasília, Florianópolis, Rio de Janeiro, São José, Sao Paulo and Aquiraz.
Helisul has a complete structure of hangars, offering Specialized Air Services – SAE, Fixed Base Operator – FBO, Maintenance, Aircraft Charter and Management, Air Medical Transport and Panoramic Flights.
Currently, Helisul continues to advance, with a fleet of over 50 aircraft, the company has already invested in the purchase of 20 eVTOLS (flying cars) that will be available as of 2026.
